CRA architects subcontracted with Fentress Incorporated to conduct a housing assessment study for the U.S. Court in St. George, UT.  The District and Bankruptcy Courts lease space in the state courthouse, while the Probation Office, U.S. Marshals Service, and U.S. Attorney's Offices are housed in separate leased facilities in the city.  Although these leased arrangements work well currently, the state recently notified the court that it could only extend its courthouse lease through 2025.  CRA and Fentress were hired to determine the court’s 10-year space needs and to recommend a housing strategy that included consolidating the court components ino one building.  St. George is a small division within the District of Utah but is the closest federal court to Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon National Park and is one of the fastest growing metropolitan areas in the U.S.  Fentress worked with the court to forecast the personnel and caseload growth over the next 10 years and developed space needs based upon these projections.
