Background

To support the annual caseload forecasting task, Fentress developed an online application programmed in php to contain the historical caseload and personnel data as well as all of the forecasts that are generated. For each data series, a “best-fit” forecast is selected but the forecasting application is designed to hold all of the forecasts that are produced (which can be viewed for comparison purposes, if necessary). The program has an interface that allows users to query and review the data in both tabular and graphic formats. The application also generates reports based upon data queries.

Project Summary

The annual caseload and personnel forecasting task that is performed by Fentress is an integral piece of the AOUSC’s long-range facility planning program. The forecasting application designed, implemented, and maintained by Fentress’ IT Division provides the AOUSC with an easy-to-use, real-time interface to this important data. AOUSC users are able to query the statistical database and retrieve historical, current, and projected data to support their strategic planning efforts.
